Buying jewelry for someone as a gift can be challenging, especially if you don’t know the person’s taste very well. However, jewelry boxes make great holiday gifts, as most women have more jewelry then they know what to do with and often don’t have a good place to keep it.

Think pregnancy can’t be fashionable? Not true! Old Navy maternity has some really cute maternity clothes at affordable prices.
Old Navy also sells maternity skirts, cardigans, activewear, jeans, leggings, sweaters and a lot more. They sell super stylish nursing tops and they even sell plus size maternity, which is new for them. It’s great that their clothes are so affordable too, because you can only wear maternity clothes for a limited amount of time so its nice not to have to break the bank!

There are fewer men than ever wearing suits to work. Many formerly suit-only businesses have switched to business casual, a change that has made a lot of men more comfortable, but also less prepared for dressy occasions.
However, every man should have at least one suit in his closet, along with several button down shirts in classic colors like white and blue. You should also have a selection of ties, even if you only wear them for special events. I say you can never go wrong with a silk tie:

There’s lots to adjust to about being a mom, including the fact that you suddenly need to transport not just a tiny person with you every time you leave the house, but also what feels like all their wordly posessions as well. Diaper bags are any new (or old) mom’s best friend – big, sturdy carry alls with plenty of pockets, pouches and other handy storage contraptions.
But if you aspire to being a stylish mom, then you need to find a diaper bag that is not just functional but fashionable. Here are some options for super stylish diaper bags:

Ever since I bought my house two years ago, I’ve been pretty obsessed with home decorating shows and home improvement projects. My husband does all the hard labor and I do most of the research and shopping for the home decor. We do most of our fixing up on a budget, but if you can afford to live in luxury, then you’ll like one of my favorite shops to drool over, Horchow.
Check out the gorgeous mirrored chest below. It is totally the kind of thing I see all the time on HGTV shows. I feel like Genivieve Gorder and Candice Olsen would totally approve. Horchow features a wide variety of furniture in different styles and for every room in your house. They even sell bathroom sink chests. One of the design styles they have that I think is so cool is they sell upscale dining room banquette sets - basically couch like seating for your dining room, but done in elegant fabrics and woods. Kind of like a diner gone four star.
Horchow even sells antiques! Not replicas, but individual antique pieces they’ve obviously collected. You can get a 1929 wooden ice cream maker to an 1820s baroque style mirror from Spain. This site is truly unique for home design if you have the budget (or lack thereof) to shop it!

Linen Dining Collection, $1099-$1899 at Horchow

Just because its winter doesn’t mean you can’t show off your legs. But to stay warm when you wear a dress or skirt this winter, make sure you are covered up in a pair of
opaque tights. It’s surprising how many places to find tights online. I usually search my favorite comparison shopping engine
Beso.com to see what my options are, and then click thru when I find things I like. Here are the sites I found through Beso to shop for tights.
1) Department stores: Bloomingdales, Nordstroms & Macys all sell a wide selection of tights. The most affordable of the three is Macys, where you can find tights from Hue and Hanes, among others. At Bloomies and Nordstroms tights range from reasonable to pricy. Wolford ihas a selection of gorgeous tights including a “Bondage style“ that are very sexy, but have a $65 price tag to go with them. Those are some tights you do not want to snag!!!
2) American Apparel is a great place to look online for wild tights. You can find bright blue tights, black and white stripe tights, even tights with each leg a different color (I saw a lot of tights researching this blog and I have to say I have never seen that before!). They also have a variety of styles including footless and stirrup style tights.
3) Specialty Shops: If you want to look at tights all in one massive location, I recommend going with a specialty store for the most variety. Two with 500+ tights options are Absolute Socks and Footsmart. Footsmart even has it’s own brand of tights and they are reasonably priced (most under $25).
4) If none of those sites do the trick for you, here are a few more options:
Practical and sporty – LLBean
Good for hipsters – Mod Cloth
Great prices – Forever 21

Winter is almost here and it’s time to break out your sexy boots. But if, like me, you don’t have skinny calves, finding boots that fit can be tough. They need to be able not only to zip up over my thicker calves, but also wide enough that I could stuff some leggings, jeggings or jeans inside of them.
Thank goodness for Wide Calf Boots! Many stores and brands are now taking us bigger calf girls into consideration and designing terrific boots for larger calves. I typically search comparison shopping engine Beso.com first to see all of my options together, and then click through to my favorite sites:
1) Zappos.com – Zappos has a HUGE selection. They carry everything from sexy stiletto heel boots to flat motorycle style boots. Designers include David Tate, Fitzwell, RSVP and LifeStride.
2)OneStopPlus.com – This plus size one stop shop carries a variety of boots including suede scrunch boots in a lot of fun colors like purple and bright blue. Designers include Comfortview and StepUp Comfort.
3)Naturalizer – This brand, known for comfortable shoes, has a nice variety of wide calf boots in leather and suede. You can find them at Nordstroms.com, Shoes.com and ShoeMall.com among others.
Make sure to measure your calf with a measuring tape to ensure that the boot’s shaft width will fit you. Factor in another 1/4-1 inch of room for your socks, leggings or other apparel that will need to fit in the boot. Look for boots with stretch panels in them as they will have more give than a solid leather boot (many leather boots have stretch inserts). However, don’t be discouraged, your choices are wide (literally) so you should able to find something that works for you!!!

Do you have a go-to site when you are looking for great clothing? Mine is Beso.com, a shopping portal that lets me browse tons of different stores in one place. But one of my favorite sites to shop on Beso is Bluefly.com. With the increase in social media clueing you in to flash sales, discount prices and exclusive codes, a lot of people have less loyalty to sites and more loyalty to deals. Bluefly.com combines the best of both for me. Long before twitter was even on the map, Bluefly.com has been providing fashionistas with terrific prices on designer clothes. Whether I am shopping for a new clutch handbag or tall leather boots, I got to Beso first, and then at some point inevitably end up on Bluefly!
Here’s what’s hot at Bluefly.com today:

When we moved to the suburbs of New York City from the City, I couldn’t get over how much space we had in our new house. Apartment living means a serious lack of places for storing your possessions so it was exciting to have multiple closets, a basement, rooms full of space to put things. But quickly we have started running out of “public space”, meaning it would be nice not to hide things we use all the time in a closet.
So I went to check out the terrific home and garden site Grandin Road in hopes of finding some stylish storage solutions and I think I’ve found just the thing!:

The Lauren Storage Ottoman is different from most of the storage ottoman’s I’ve seen online. Unlike places like Ikea where the ottomans are small, typically squares, this ottoman is almost 5 feet long, just under double the standard ottoman size, which means double the storage.
I also like the tufted leather. I have seen leather ottomans before but not with the tufts. I don’t know if the word classy seems like a silly word to use, but I think this piece is very sleek and would fit in really well with a lot of different home decorating styles. And for $299 its a fraction of the price you’d pay for something similar at Crate & Barrel.
Grandin Road is also a terrific place to shop for outdoor seating solutions, area rugs, mirrors and much more.
