A great pair of eye-catching sneakers can make a drab outfit instantly fantastic. And who better to jazz up those feet of yours than Puma! Puma is a German company founded in 1924. Can you believe it’s been around for this long? I’d like to think it’s because of their constantly inventive and creative approach to the ordinary sneaker. Since then they have developed more than just footwear, with sportswear and accessories and sporting goods as well. Puma is a great go-to for a cool new pair of shoes. See below for some awesome finds from Puma:

PUMA Women’s Speeder RP Sneaker, $59.95. Great eye-catching purple!

Super cool fold down suede that can be worn folded or up! Puma Sugie Suede shoes, $65.50.

I’ve been working out regularly in these cold winter months, and nothing makes me happier than staying dry in Nike Dri-Fit! It’s extremely comfortable and doesn’t stretch out after a few months of wear.

Stretchy and supportive, and Nike always has the best quality materials and a reputation you can depend on. With Nike Dri-Fit you can rely on staying dry while your sweat is wicked away to the fabric’s surface, allowing you to say cool and dry while training or working out. Check out a few of my Nike Dri-fit picks below:

Nike womens Dri-FIT workout pant, $30.00.

Nike Dri-Fit Filament Capris, $39.99.

Nike Dri-Fit Road Race Shorts, $25.00.

The Trend Boutique is a great website for lots of celebrity inspired fashion and accessories. In their “Celebrity Style” section you can find a wide range of clothing and jewelry, the same as seen on the stars themselves!

My focus was set on the House of Harlow collection, Nicole Richie’s lovely jewelry collection that mixes her bohemian retro tastes with a 1960′s flair. It’s a wonderfully wearable collection of rings, bracelets and more. I especially adore the dainty, vintage looking rings that are perfect for stacking among one another or with your own rings!

The 14kt Gold Triangle Cocktail ring in Turquoise, $45.00

House of Harlow 1960 Silver Feather Row Ring, $39.00.

The House of Harlow 1960 14KT Yellow Gold Thin Stack Ring, $23.00.

M.A.C. Cosmetics have become a staple in almost every woman’s arsenal of makeup. Constantly coming out with new product labels and launches, MAC has something exciting and fashion forward all year round. On their website’s “What’s New” section, you can check out the new Lady Gaga collection and the M.A.C. 2011 Wonder Woman Colour Collection. Doesn’t it look like fun?

I’d love to try this M.A.C. ‘Wonder Woman’ Penultimate Eyeliner, $19.50, for a glamorous thick cat-eye look.

Once in a while I’ll treat myself to a few fun items from their seasonal collections, but more often I like to stick with their basics. These are a few of my favorite M.A.C. Cosmetics products I can’t live without:

Every woman I know swears by MAC’s Russian Red for a classic, sexy red lip. MAC Lipstick, $14.00.

The perfect liner that glides on smoothly, doesn’t need sharpening, and is perfect for lining your lower lashline. MAC Technakohl Liner, $14.50.

A light powder and foundation for double duty! MAC Studio Fix, $26.00.

Diane Von Furstenberg: It’s a Wrap!

Diane Von Furstenberg: Her name is synonymous with the famous “wrap dress” brought into popularity in the 1970′s. She is even recognized in the collection of the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan for her invention of the wrap dress! Thirty years later, her gorgeous runway and ready-to-wear collections continue to amaze me.

You may wonder how exactly does one re-invent the simple ol’ wrap dress year after year? Well, see for yourself with a few examples from her current collection:

A wrap dress with some military influence and a touch of femme with the sash at the waist. The Diane Von Furstenberg Naudia wrap dress, $365.00.

A luxe, simple wrap dress that looks ridiculously comfortable and perfect for dressing up or down. The Diane Von Furstenberg Marin Wrap dress, $365.00.

A delicate silk wrap dress with a fun graphic print. The Diane von Furstenberg Arely Bias Dress, $345.00.

Finding a chic, sexy, cool retail site for men is not as easy as the plentiful range of websites dedicated to women. Luckily I discovered Blackbird Ballard today, a menswear online retailer based in Seattle. It is the epitome of cool: think black leather, button-up’s, and quality basics. They even have a men’s apothecary section and an awesome mercantile section full of books, homegoods and more. I love the look and feel of the products they chose. It is a sophisticated and well tailored selection of fine clothing, accessories and more. Check out my favorites below:

Men’s Zuriick Shug Mid Leather Oxford, on sale for $114.99.

Tokyo Milk “Poe’s Tobacco” Cologne, $28.00.

Obey Clothing High Fashion Sweatshirt, $72.00.

Calvin Klein is a great brand that comes from a long line of underwear, clothing, and runway fame. However, I personally happen to love their collection of home goods and accessories. The vibe is very relaxing and zen-like. Always luxe and comfortable, outfit your bedroom or any room in your home with some of Calvin Klein’s wonderful bedding accessories. Here are some steps to get your bedroom in the right comfort zone:

Karen Millen is a glamorous and chic clothing collection brought to you from the UK. Founded in 1983, you can see the European tailoring and style that make Karen Millen special. All of their gorgeous clothing is designed in house, and the collections range from day, work, weekend, and formal wear.

I was especially attracted to the lovely party dresses in the Karen Millen collection. You can see the beautiful couture type details and craftsmanship in each one. Here I’ve picked out a few signature Little Black dresses, a key staple for every woman’s wardrobe. Take a look below:

Karen Millen Ruffle Prom Dress, $160.00. Strapless tutu dress with contrast silk satin panel corset bodice.

Karen Millen Satin Dress, $99.00 (Original price $380.00!). Satin fitted pencil dress with deep v-neckline ruffled small cap sleeve detail. The necklace is detachable so you can wear it with or without depending on the occasion!

Barefoot Tess: Heaven for Large Feet!

Posted: April 5th, 2011 | Author: Jasmine | Filed under: April 2011 | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , | No Comments »

I’ve become quite the shoe fiend, and scouring the net for adorable yet affordable shoes has become a well-practiced hobby of mine. However, my feet are quite average at size 7, and I wondered if there was any website dedicated to women who struggle with larger size feet, size 10+.

That’s why I was elated to discover Barefoot Tess and share with all my friends. It’s an awesome online shoe shop with tons of great brands from Jeffrey Campbell to Coso Como, in plus sizes. So who is Tess? According to the Who’s Barefoot Tess section of the website she is a twenty-something who experienced lots of struggle trying to find stylish shoes that would fit her size 11 feet. Her motto is “because style doesn’t stop at size 10″, and her mission is to deliver the best in footwear to all large footed women like herself. Check out some of her great footwear choices below:

I love this Jeffrey Campbell Lamp Bootie, $119.00, that channels retro glamour. And it even goes up to size 14!

These are the sneakers every woman in Paris swears by. Feel chic in your own Bensimon Les Basiques Sneakers, $59.00.

Or try this gorgeous pair of Corso Como Rhonda Boots, $199.00. The whiskey color is fantastic!
